Next month will mark the third anniversary of WCC (which was originally posted July 14, 2007). To commemorate the event, I have been working on two pretty cool projects, which are huge and will be released in parts as they are completed, beginning next month. Only one person has seen these besides me so far, but the response has been positive.
The first is something I have been planning to do for quite some time. It may, at first glance, appear to be simply rehashing the same old stuff, but I suggest you take a closer look...
The second is something that is quite new. It will fill in some gaps in WCC and maybe make some connections you didn't consider before. I am still uncertain as to whether or not to only host this second item here, for multiple reasons. I think you'll enjoy it, though.

Dear Readers,
It has been three years since I started posting “When Cliques Collide” on S2C. At the time, it was just a silly little story idea I had that I was sure would only take up twelve chapters, twenty at the very most. I did not expect it to be well-received, nor did I anticipate that three years later, I would still be working on what had become a project spanning several hundred thousand words. The story did not go in the direction I had necessarily intended it to, and I'm glad; without the changes and additional ideas incorporated into the story, the characters would not be as rich and interesting as they are.
The path to writing has not been without hardships, however. Since beginning the story, I've lost several loved ones and have had to juggle jobs and classes. However, I've always tried to update at least once a month, rather than neglecting the story as so many other writers have done. It hasn't been easy, and there have been times where I have just wanted to give up and say, “Who cares?” But I haven't.
Your support has been key in encouraging me to continue working on “When Cliques Collide.” I know not all of you are vocal about your appreciation of the story, but I do know there are regular readers out there who eagerly await each update. Whether you're a casual reader or a hardcore fan, I thank you. I might have stopped writing years ago, had it not been for you.
Don't worry; the story is far from over. However, I've been working on some “lagniappe,” if you will, to tide you over between updates. (For those of you not from the New Orleans area, allow me to explain: it's basically a little something extra thrown in.) I've been a bit secretive about the projects, but it's time to unveil them. The first is a prequel to “When Cliques Collide,” titled “A Countdown to Oblivion.” It is a work in progress that will be updated from time to time and (until further notice) will be exclusive to this board. The second is a more detailed and extensive project: a script version of the story. I thought you might like to see how I would translate the story into film, so I've been slowly working on rewriting the story as a script. So far, only part of the first chapter is complete, but I will update as I complete each chapter. I hope you guys enjoy them!
Hugs, DarkPhoenix
